Y Hub, the first holding company dedicated to sustainable and traceable fashion projects, has been announced. The holding company brings together Process Factory, an Italian consulting firm responsible for the 4sustainability system and trademark, The ID Factory, an IT company specializing in digital traceability solutions, and Ympact, a Benefit Corporation and platform for measuring environmental and social impacts developed to apply the 4sustainability framework on a large scale. Y Hub aims to support sustainability reporting and the construction of Digital Product Passports to promote transparency in the fashion industry. The announcement was made during the 10th Annual 4sustainability event in Prato, Italy, which gathered fashion industry representatives and discussed topics such as supply chain transparency and digital product passports. Y Hub currently has a team of 60 professionals, 40 partners, and engages with 3,000 companies and 80,000 suppliers in 22 countries. The collaboration between fashion, sustainability, and technology is seen as a crucial opportunity for the industry. The event also featured panels on partnership for sustainability goals, corporate due diligence legislation, and how to communicate product information to stakeholders. The importance of collaboration on digital product passports was emphasized, along with the need for transparency and sustainability in the fashion industry.
