Arezzo Verticale, the first and only climbing society in the town, is celebrating its tenth anniversary. They have organized an event on Friday, November 3rd, at the indoor climbing gym next to the “Mario d’Agata” sports hall. The party aims to bring together climbing enthusiasts and share future projects. Arezzo Verticale was founded in 2013 by a group of mountaineers from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) with the goal of creating a training space for mountain activities. Over the years, the society has grown, and they have won a bid for the redevelopment of the sports facilities in the town. This will allow them to manage the climbing gym area for the next 20 years, with an investment of €30,000 for improvements such as changing rooms. Arezzo Verticale currently has 150 members and plans to celebrate their anniversary with a fun and sport-filled event, including a bouldering competition and the presentation of a logo design contest. The president of Arezzo Verticale expressed gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the local sports community and looks forward to a future with stronger foundations.
