Montebianco Costruzioni, a construction company in Prato, Italy, has developed a special drone called Falco to increase safety in construction and building maintenance at heights. The drone can reach up to 100 meters in height and is equipped with a lance capable of spraying water at a maximum pressure of 150 atmospheres to clean building facades. It also uses bio-products for sanitizing and applies a protective maintenance coating recommended by the Fine Arts department, particularly for historical monuments. The project was presented at the Chamber of Deputies in the presence of company executives, members of parliament, and representatives from the economic and professional sectors. The ultimate goal is to eliminate any risks associated with working at heights during façade renovation. The drone includes height and obstacle sensors for safety, as well as an internal GPS system for flight stability. Falco operates on electricity to avoid emissions. After three years of planning and design, the drone has been successfully used in Tuscany and has garnered interest throughout Europe. Montebianco Costruzioni is now planning a second line of smaller drones, capable of reaching 35 meters in height, to be rented by construction companies in Italy and Europe.
