– TRIESTE, 20 AUG – Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia, out of 4,485 molecular swabs, 102 new infections have been detected with a positive percentage of 2.27%. There are also 2,128 rapid antigenic tests performed from which 11 cases (0.52%) were detected. There are no deaths; the number of people admitted to intensive care has dropped to 9; 28 patients are being treated in other wards. This was communicated by the deputy governor of the Fvg with responsibility for Health.

The overall deaths amounted to 3,795, with the following territorial subdivision: 814 in Trieste, 2,015 in Udine, 673 in Pordenone and 293 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 104,870, the clinically healed 104 while the people in isolation amount to 904.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 109,710 people have been positive (figure reduced by one unit due to an unconfirmed antigen test) with the following territorial subdivision: 21,721 in Trieste, 51,227 in Udine, 21,979 in Pordenone, 13,283 a Gorizia and 1,500 from outside the region.

As far as the regional health system is concerned, the positive results of a psychologist in the Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Unit, a health worker in the Giuliano Isontina University Healthcare Unit and an administrative officer in the Western Friuli Healthcare Company were detected.

With regard to residential facilities for the elderly, the contagion of an operator in Trieste is recorded.
