Il percorso di Emma Idra, Dal Balbo di Casale al campus estivo della Normale di Pisa.
Emma Idra, a student at Balbo Classical High School in Casale, has been admitted to the summer orientation program at the University of Pisa. In May of the previous school year, she and four other deserving students from Balbo-Lanza were offered the opportunity to apply for participation in one of the university’s orientation programs held throughout Italy during the summer. Emma was selected among the 70 students who would attend the course held in San Miniato from June 26 to 30. The program included a wide range of classes, from paleography to theoretical physics, as well as the chance to interact with students, professors, and researchers from the University of Pisa and associated research institutes. Emma was particularly impressed by a seminar on the origins of the universe, led by Professor Enrico Trincherini, who made complex and intricate topics understandable and fascinating. However, Emma’s best impression came from the human aspect of the program, as she formed genuine connections with her peers. She describes a strong sense of community and camaraderie among the group of exceptional students. Emma expresses her gratitude to her fellow students for being the best lesson the University of Pisa could have given her.
