Firenze, invasione di blatte e topi nella boutique Castellani, richiesta di intervento a Palazzo Vecchio e Alia

Flavio Castellani, the owner of a women’s clothing brand, has reported a concerning situation in via de’ Pecori, a popular tourist spot in the historic center of Florence. The installation of open-access underground garbage containers in front of his boutique has led to overflowing bins, bad odors, and the presence of rats and insects. This spectacle has driven customers away from the store. Castellani’s lawyers have sent multiple letters to the municipality and waste management company, requesting cleaning and sanitation interventions, but to no avail. Now, they have issued a formal notice demanding that the containers be cleaned, relocated to a more suitable area, or replaced with less disruptive alternatives that consider the historical and urban context. The lawyers also want to review all relevant documents regarding the container’s placement and maintenance in the area and ensure that the municipality has fulfilled its waste management obligations. Damages may be sought as well.
