– TODI, 19 AUG – The great characters, such as Walter Veltroni and Loredana Bertè, and then the national debuts, the regional exclusives, the unpublished works and the exhibition-tribute to the sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro, in a heterogeneous, dynamic and always different every evening: the Todi Festival, the historic Umbrian festival founded in 1987 by Silvano Spada and now in its 35th edition, returns from 28 August to 5 September. Looking at its history as a treasure to draw from, but always keeping up with the times, the event offers a program entirely oriented to quality and contamination between theater, music, dance, contemporary art and literature, therefore suitable for all tastes and at various ages, so much so that with a happy expression the artistic director Eugenio Guarducci, interviewed by ANSA, talks about a “Todi salad, a late summer salad with contradictory or unmixed contents at first sight, but with an appetizing taste for a broad audience target “. Many unmissable events that will take place between the Municipal Theater of Todi, the Cloister of San Fortunato and Piazza del Popolo, not only the opening and closing of the Festival, respectively entrusted to “The beginning of darkness” by Walter Veltroni (national debut directed by Peppino Mazzotta) and at the concert “Figlia di … Summer Tour 2021” by Loredana Bertè in a regional exclusive, but also the shows “La fever” by Wallace Shawn, directed by Veronica Cruciani and Federica Fracassi protagonist, and “Boomerang – The illusionists of dance” (author and choreographer Cristiano Fagioli), both national debuts. And again, on the program “Gola and other short pieces” by Mattia Torre, read by Valerio Aprea, and the Todi Off contemporary theater and dance review, masterclasses and theater and critical workshops and literary appointments by Around Todi.
