Martijn, a 23-year-old Dutchman, is traveling through Europe on his bike with the goal of reaching Istanbul. Unfortunately, his bike was stolen in Florence, which has left him stranded in the city. The bike is not just a means of transportation for Martijn, but a symbol of his freedom and the essence of his journey. Martijn has traveled to various countries on similar road trips and had planned to travel from Breda, Netherlands to Turkey, passing through Italy and boarding a ferry in Bari with his bike. Florence, however, derailed his plans. Despite the setback, Martijn is in love with the city, its culture, food, and people. After the theft, he sought help at a hostel where he now works while waiting for a resolution. Determined to not let a piece of his freedom vanish, Martijn has posted flyers around the city offering a reward of 150 euros to anyone who can return his bike and allow him to continue his journey to Turkey.
