Arezzo illumina le feste con Goldesign, dal 1° dicembre al 6 gennaio – thedotcultura

“Goldesign” is an exhibition held in Arezzo, Italy, showcasing a diverse collection of precious objects all united by the color gold. The event, organized by Elle adv and curated by Valerio Castelli and Caterina Mosca, aims to highlight the craftsmanship and design excellence of the Arezzo region. The exhibition features a mix of renowned designers and local producers, creating a stimulating dialogue between history and contemporary design. The curators believe that the perception of gold in design has changed in recent years, with the once kitsch and luxurious material now being seen as a playful and ironic element in interior design. The exhibition is designed by internationally acclaimed designer Paola Navone, adding to its prestige. Arezzo is historically associated with the gold and fashion industries, but Castelli and Mosca hope that “Goldesign” will help reestablish the city’s reputation in both fields. They emphasize the importance of creating an event that involves various sectors, such as design, furniture, gold, fashion, art, and gastronomy, to engage the local community and ensure the project’s continuity. The Fraternita dei Laici, the organization hosting the exhibition, sees “Goldesign” as the first step towards establishing a Gold Museum in Arezzo, further enhancing the city’s tourist attractions.
