Elena Improta, a mother and caregiver, has ended her 14-day hunger strike in Orbetello, Grosseto. Due to the deterioration of her physical condition, she has decided to start eating again on the advice of Dr. Monica Paffetti, who has been following her medical situation. Improta had been protesting to protect the right to life and the future of her son and the home for disabled individuals. After losing a case against a Roman clinic, she was ordered to pay nearly 300,000 euros in legal fees. Although some insurance companies waived their claims, the clinic Villa Mafalda refused to do the same. Improta expressed gratitude to those who supported her, including the media, politicians, and community members.
