After the connection with the operating rooms the Minister of the Interior, Luciana Lamorgese, chaired, in the prefecture of Palermo, the national committee for public order and safety which was attended, among others, by the Chief of Defense Staff, Enzo Vecciarelli, the Commander General of the Arma, Teo Luzi, the Commander General of the Guard di Finanza, Giuseppe Zafarana, the Chief of Police, Lamberto Giannini, the director General of Dis Elisabetta Belloni, the head of the Dap Bernardo Petralia, the head of the civil liberties and immigration department Michele Di Bari, the head of the fire department Laura Lega, the head of civil protection Fabrizio Curcio, the general commander of the port authorities Nicola Carlone, Undersecretary Nicola Molteni. In addition to the prefect of Palermo, Giuseppe Forlani, the prosecutor in Palermo, Francesco Lo Voi, the mayor Leoluca Orlando and the regional president Nello Musumeci also participated.
