– L’AQUILA, 18 AUG – From Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August, the second edition of the Atelier delle Arti in L’Aquila will take place in the splendid setting of the cloister of the Convent of San Giuliano in L’Aquila. The initiative will have as guests, in addition to Davide Rondoni, creator of the Atelier: Gianfranco Lauretano, poet and literary critic, primary school teacher and teacher of literature teaching; Yari Selvetella, poet and novelist already included in the dozen of the Strega 2018; Daniele Mencarelli, winner of the Strega Giovani in 2020 with the novel ‘Everything asks for salvation’.

The Atelier Giorgio Capriotti and Lorenza D’Alessandro, two of the most important Italian restorers, authors, among other things, of the recovery of the frescoes of the convent and of the fifteenth-century convent inside the San Giuliano complex will open. The participants of the Atelier will therefore live the experience of restoration directly from the voice of the two scholars right in the place where they lent their work.

For years the experience of the Atelier, this year also held in Bertinoro, Grosseto and Policoro, offers itself as a moment of informal and prolonged meeting with the masters of poetry and writing with whom it will be possible to discuss the procedures for the production of poetry and prose.

On the evening of Friday 20 there will be a visit to the Convent by AquilArtes exclusively for the participants of the Atelier and a poetic recital accompanied by the musical interpretations of Marco Rotilio; on the evening of Saturday 21 there will be a poetic reading of the Atelier members and guests. Participants will be teachers, students, writers and lovers of arts and poetry.

The Atelier, included in the “Waiting for Forgiveness” events program, will close with lunch on Sunday 22 August.

The organization of the Atelier was curated by the cultural associations AquilArtes and L’Aquila Volta la Carta under the artistic direction of Davide Rondoni. For information http://www.aquilartes.it/atelier-delle-arti-2021/ .
