Morta in mare a causa di un infarto, la triste fine del siriano Yaser dopo essere sbarcato dalla Open Arms.

Yaser Thane Alrshedat, a Syrian man in search of medical treatment and a better life in Europe, died from a heart attack shortly after surviving a shipwreck and arriving at a reception center in Villafranca. Yaser had been injured by a bomb explosion in Syria, forcing him to seek medical help abroad. He paid traffickers for two tickets to Europe, one for himself and one for his brother. After a treacherous journey, they were rescued at sea by the crew of the Open Arms ship. Yaser’s goal was to receive medical treatment for his injured leg, but he also thought about his family left behind in Syria. After being identified and examined, they were transferred to a facility in Villafranca. However, Yaser suddenly experienced severe chest pain and difficulty breathing, and despite immediate medical attention, he tragically passed away. His funeral will be held in Italy due to difficulties transporting his remains back to Syria.
