Harborea is a plant and flower market that will take place from October 13 to October 15 in Villa Mimbelli, Livorno. This year, there will be 87 exhibitors, 20 of whom will be attending for their first time in Livorno. The market will offer a wide range of plants, herbs, flowers, exotic plants, vegetables, spices, and seeds. The exhibitors have been selected with a focus on eco-sustainability and low water consumption, reflecting the need for gardens that can thrive in an era of climate change. The event will also include exhibitors of garden tools, furniture, textiles, and antiques, as well as food products derived from plants, such as spices, oils, flours, and chocolates. One of the new additions to Harborea this year is that it will remain open until 10,30pm on Saturday, and will feature a DJ set by Federico Baiano. The event will also coincide with the opening of the new exhibition at the G. Fattori Museum, dedicated to Ermenegildo Bois. In addition to the market, there will be a literary café where visitors can attend talks and presentations related to gardens and their history. The event will also include free workshops and activities for all ages. To avoid lines at the ticket counter, tickets can be purchased in advance at select locations in Livorno. The event is organized by the Livorno Garden Club and the Livorno Municipality.
