Sistema Ambiente, a company owned by the Municipality of Lucca, has recovered four million euros in outstanding debts and put 1,000 properties on the books. This information is included in the semi-annual report that Sistema Ambiente delivered to Lucca Holding, the parent company of the municipality’s owned companies. The company was able to recover the outstanding debts thanks to data analysis and updates to the property records. This achievement is seen as a significant milestone for both the company and the citizens of Lucca. The outstanding debts of Sistema Ambiente have reduced from 27 million euros at the end of December to 23 million euros at the end of June. This news has been well-received by the company’s management and Lucca Holding, as it was one of their main goals. The President of Lucca Holding, Sandra Bianchi, expressed her satisfaction with these results and commended the efforts of the company and its employees. Marco Conti, the CEO of Iren Ambiente and representative of the private sector, acknowledged that although progress has been made, there is still work to be done to address the remaining outstanding debts.
