44° Rally Città di Pistoia, vittoria di Mabellini e Lenzi con la Citroen C3 Rally2

Andrea Mabellini and Virginia Lenzi, driving a Citroen C3 Rally2, won the 44th Rally Città di Pistoia. The race, organized by Pistoia Corse in collaboration with the Pistoia Automobile Club, was the final event of the Zone 6 Rally Cup. Mabellini took the lead from the start and gradually increased his advantage over the other competitors. The Brescia driver, who is participating in the European Championship, also used the race as a test for the MRF tires. Federico Gasperetti finished in second place, followed by Fabio Pinelli in third. The top five was completed by Alex Ciardi and the Giordano brothers. In the two-wheel drive category, Mirco Straffi emerged as the winner, followed by Silvestri/Marraccini. Susanna Mazzetti was crowned the new champion in Zone 6. In the historic rally, Mauro Lenci won in his Peugeot 205 GTi. The event also marked the end of the 2023 Aci Pistoia Social Championship and was valid for the Tuscan Rally Trophy, R-Italian Trophy, Michelin Trophy Italia, and Pirelli Academy. The collaboration between the rally organizers and the local administrations aims to promote the economic growth of the area.
