Arezzo Verticale, the first and only climbing company in the city, will celebrate its ten-year anniversary on November 3, 2023. Founded in 2013 by a group of mountaineers from the CAI, the company aimed to provide a space for training and preparation for mountain climbing. Over the years, it has grown to include over 150 square meters of walls with varying difficulties, inclinations, and heights. The company recently won a bid for the redevelopment of the sports facilities in Arezzo, which will allow them to manage the climbing gym free of charge for the next twenty years. This development includes the construction of changing rooms. Arezzo Verticale has expanded its activities and climbing courses for all ages, attracting 150 members. The anniversary celebration will consist of a gathering for climbing enthusiasts, as well as a bouldering competition. The event will also feature the presentation of a contest to create a new logo for the company, challenging participants to incorporate climbing, sports, values, and the local community into their designs. The president of Arezzo Verticale expressed gratitude for the opportunity to manage the gym for the next twenty years and hopes to continue contributing to the local sports community’s growth.
