Antonino Liberatore, a professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Florence, has passed away. Born in 1929, he was one of the first professors of the Faculty of Engineering. He served in the Italian Navy and was a teacher at the Military Academy in Livorno. Liberatore held various administrative roles at the University of Florence, such as being a member of the Board of Directors and the Director of the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications. He was also the national secretary of the Union of Tenured University Professors, providing assistance to colleagues and guidance to government officials. Liberatore was known for his passion for history, particularly the life of Napoleon, and theological studies. He had a modern way of thinking and was always ahead of societal transformations. The funeral will be held on November 3rd in Florence.
