Due maestri svelano il mistero di “Vola golondrina”.
Francesco Guccini and Loriano Machiavelli present their new book, “Vola golondrina”, at the 68th International Literary Prize Ceppo in Pistoia. The event, held in collaboration with Giallo Pistoia, the Municipality of Pistoia, Fondazione Caript, Giunti Editore, and Giunti al Punto, marks their 25th anniversary of writing together. The novel is set in the 1930s and follows the story of Benedetto Santovito, a Carabinieri marshal exiled in a small village in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, and Penelope Rocchi, a young journalist. The book combines elements of mystery and historical fiction, with references to George Orwell’s “Homage to Catalonia” and a focus on defending freedom and democracy. The presentation is part of the tribute to Guccini’s contribution to Italy through his music and writing, which began more than ten years ago with the Ceppo Nature Prize.
