L’ex ministro Luigi Berlinguer è morto a Siena, ricoverato per un periodo di tempo.
Luigi Berlinguer, a former minister and member of parliament in Italy, has died at the age of 91. He was admitted to the hospital in Siena last August and passed away there. Berlinguer, who was born in Sassari, was a cousin of Enrico Berlinguer. He served as a minister in the governments of Ciampi, Prodi, and D’Alema, overseeing the University and scientific research. Berlinguer also served as Minister of Public Instruction from 1996 to 2000. A public viewing will be held at the University of Siena tomorrow.
