Andrea Gottfried, a musician, manager, and cultural entrepreneur, has been elected as the new president of the Jewish Community of Pisa, Viareggio, and Lucca. He plans to focus on bringing together different groups and creating harmony. Despite the difficult times, with the recent war in Gaza, Gottfried aims to keep the synagogue open to the city and maintain a positive relationship with the community. He also plans to collaborate with other Jewish communities in Tuscany and work on educational initiatives. Additionally, he wants to make the Jewish community a hub for international promotion and tourism in Pisa.
