Many Possible Cities is a festival dedicated to urban and territorial regeneration that will take place in Florence from September 28th to September 30th. The festival will feature 64 national and international speakers, including administrators, cultural operators, real estate developers, climate activists, academics, and representatives from cooperatives and the third sector. The focus of the event is to discuss and build a sustainable future for everyone by addressing topics such as culture and social innovation, climate activism, and urban regeneration. The festival aims to create a space for dialogue and diverse perspectives, ranging from the public administration to real estate developers and activists. The event will include seven talks and four workshops covering various aspects of urban regeneration. The first day will focus on temporary uses for inclusive urban regeneration, the socio-cultural value of temporary uses, and urban development through public and private investments. The second day will explore territorial regeneration, with discussions on the revival of mountain areas and cultural regeneration in rural areas. The last day will address climate activism and the activation of communities to prioritize climate issues on the political agenda. The festival aims to shed light on the challenges and opportunities of urban and territorial regeneration in building a sustainable future.
