‘Musica, Laboratorio orchestrale lucchese per contrastare l’emarginazione, ispirato a Fratel Arturo Paoli.’
“Laboratorio Orchestrale Lucchese” is a project that aims to overcome economic and social barriers that could lead to the marginalization of children and young people. Supported by the Archdiocese of Lucca through the Caritas pastoral office, in collaboration with the association “Tempo di Musica”, the project has been running for seven years. It has over 130 members and operates in various locations in Lucca, including a new center in the Pelleria neighborhood. The project offers free music lessons in violin, viola, cello, harp, guitar, piano, percussion, flute, and clarinet. The initiative was launched as a response to child poverty in the Diocese of Lucca and aims to provide opportunities for vulnerable children to develop their musical talents. The Caritas diocesana collaborates with the Tempo di Musica association to provide access to music courses for children and teenagers referred by local support centers and social services. The project supports around 50% of the total participants.
