Pallanuoto, intervista al Presidente della CW Pisa Paolo Bonacci, organizzatore della Final Four.

Paolo Bonacci, president and coach of the Crazy Waves water polo team in Tuscany, organized the Final Four of the Italian Paralympic Water Polo Cup in Livorno. The highlight of the event was the matches between the top teams, the final and the semifinals with S.S. Lazio and Water Sports Napoli Lions. The Livorno Aquatics synchronized swimming team also gave a beautiful performance. Bonacci expressed his gratitude to Livorno Aquatics, the city of Livorno, and the Tuscany Disabled Sports Group for their support to the Paralympic water polo and swimming. The main challenge in organizing this event was the short notice, but the teams collaborated well, and the Camalich facility in Livorno provided a suitable venue. As president of the Crazy Waves team, Bonacci faces the challenge of finding water space for training, which is essential for paralympic athletes. The role of president is the most complicated, as it involves managing administrative tasks and finding water spaces, which are always in high demand. Bonacci believes in balancing the promotion of performance with inclusivity and participation. The Crazy Waves team put in their best effort at the Final Four, even though they faced tough opponents. Simone Basti, an athlete from the team, won the fair play award for his exemplary behavior throughout the event. Looking ahead, Bonacci aims to continue improving the team’s performance while also promoting inclusivity and participation in paralympic sports.
