Braulio Pavel Martinez Mesa, a 33-year-old Dominican man living in Perugia, has been arrested for voluntary homicide in connection with the death of Joel Ramirez Seipio, a 38-year-old man from Montevarchi. Seipio died in the hospital after being struck in the neck with a hookah during a violent fight at the El Angel Vip nightclub in Terranuova Bracciolini. The fight broke out after a glass was accidentally knocked over, escalating into a brawl involving over 20 people. Eight participants were hospitalized as a result. The fatal attack occurred at around 6,45 am in the back of the club, where Martinez Mesa and two others, armed with a stick and a hookah with a glass skull, attacked Seipio. The glass shattered upon impact, creating sharp shards that severed Seipio’s jugular and carotid artery, causing a fatal hemorrhage. Martinez Mesa was recognized by his distinctive red sneakers and a hand tattoo, both of which were captured by security cameras. He was arrested on Friday and interrogated on Saturday. The investigation is ongoing, with the collection of witness testimonies and forensic analysis.
