Lavori al Galilei in corso, senza stallo. Cantiere procederà spedito senza intralci.
Stefano Bottai, vice president of Toscana Aeroporti, has reassured the mayor of Pisa about the progress of the long-awaited new terminal at Pisa Airport. The construction will proceed more quickly during the winter months when the flow of flights naturally decreases. The airport aims to maintain its functionality while undergoing renovations to support the investment and avoid losing more traffic after the pandemic-related halt. The Pisa municipal administration is focused on the airport’s development and closely monitors all aspects related to its growth. Recently, there was controversy surrounding the construction progress, with a regional councilor and his party criticizing the slow pace of the project. Toscana Aeroporti CEO, Roberto Naldi, dismissed these criticisms as unfair and counterproductive. Bottai emphasized the strategic importance of Pisa Airport and confirmed a budget of 60 million euros for the new terminal. The airport aims to make improvements to enhance functionality, modernity, and comfort and plans to complete the new terminal by 2025. Additionally, efforts are being made to update the radar infrastructure, which will positively impact noise reduction and overall flight management.
